As a nonprofit organization we rely heavily on volunteers for many of our daily operations. We have volunteers who run our front desk, home delivered meal drivers, medical ride drivers, group leaders, trip leaders, help with fundraisers and much more.

We have many opportunities we are looking for help with. Please contact Angie or Maria and we'll match your talents to our current needs.
Front Desk Reception
We are looking for volunteers to help at the front desk. Must have computer, phone, reception, and office experience. Front desk shifts will be approximately 3-hour shifts, looking for help on Wednesdays.
Set up & take down crew
We need help setting up and taking down for events. This would include setting up and taking down tables, chairs, tablecloths, decorations, place settings etc.
Monthly Craft Leader
Do you have a craft you want to share? We are looking for monthly craft leaders to take turns running our craft group. We would like to see a large variety of crafting projects available to our group. Supplies will be provided.
Home Chore Helpers
Finding yourself with extra time on your hands? Willing to help a senior in need? We are looking for multiple volunteers who could do random tasks when requests/needs come in for example:
· Small Tree Trimming
· Spring/Fall Clean Ups
· Lawn Mowing, Snow Removal, Household Chores, etc. if an injury or surgery comes up
Once we have a request, we would email/call
volunteers to see if you are available to help.
Check In VolunteerWe are looking for volunteers to check people in at River Ville Bar & Grill, our county meal site, every Wednesday. The shift would be from 9:00-1:00, 9:00-11:00 or 11:00-1:00 depending on your availability. You can choose to volunteer every week, once or twice a month, whatever fits your schedule. Please contact the senior center to sign up or if you have more questions.
DE Drivers Needed
We are in need of more driver escort drivers to take seniors to medical appointments. Flexible schedule & mileage reimbursement. If you are interested please contact the senior center for more information.
Home Delivered Meal Drivers Needed
We are in need of volunteers to help deliver noontime meals and would love for you to join us. As a volunteer you will be delivering meals to seniors at home. You are eligible to receive mileage reimbursement and extra accident and liability insurance. Scheduling is flexible too!
Volunteers delivering nutritious meals not only help to improve the health and wellbeing of seniors, but also help to lift their spirits and bring a smile to their faces. Your kindness and compassion truly make a difference.
